Across the Board Home Healthcare was founded by Linda Hill in 2011. The vision was placed in her heart many years before, but the need to gain knowledge and expertise in the industry lead her to place her vision on hold, and instead work for a home health agency for a few years. It was there that she was able to gain insight on the needs of the senior community and the disabled. She knew that she could begin a business tailored to meet the needs of these individuals. In October 2010, Linda Hill married Jesse Hill who shared in her passion and vision for helping the elderly/disabled community remain independent in the comfort of their home with the assistance of high quality caregivers.
Linda Hill's social roots began in her early years when she began her working career in Detroit, Michigan. Linda worked 17 years as a social worker for the state of Michigan, spending 13 of those years as the lead case worker. Always seeking an opportunity to help others, she began to purchase property in an effort to provide low cost housing for those in need. After spending many years founding, developing, and managing a highway construction business that gave many urban young men family supporting wages in Michigan, she decided it was time to retire.
In 1998, Linda headed back home to East Texas. Restless and still energetic, the vision placed in her heart continued to fester until the birth of Across the Board Home Healthcare. Started in a vacant room of her own home, Linda not only handled the administrative side of the business with the help of her family, but she and her husband Jesse were also caregivers to several of Across the Board Home Healthcare clients. Linda's mission has always been simple: To do all things through Christ who strengthens us. To educate oneself in order to educate others. To become a leader in the community by serving the community. At Across the Board Home Healthcare, Caring is not only what we do, but WHO WE ARE!
